About

I was born in Windhoek, South West Africa and grew up in Pretoria, South Africa. Since I can remember, I have drawn detailed drawings, observational and imaginary. At age 7, I was drawing detailed interiors of toadstools for baby mice to live in. I remember a school project in 3rd grade about a poet born under a pear tree - I drew every single leaf in my detailed illustration of the tree. For detail, my artwork is mainly felt tip pen, marker, or acrylic on canvas.

I wanted to be a fashion designer for the longest time - but later realized that my love of fashion is really a love of Pantone colors and exceptional prints. In retrospect, I realize my drawings have always been inspired by fauna and flora - a combination of observed details, fairy gardens, Quentin Blake and Beatrix Potter.
